Central City Neighborhoods meeting set for Sept. 20 at Morning Star Church

The first meeting of the Central City Neighborhoods will be at 6 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 20, at Morning Star Church, 714 Third Ave., Rockford.
Organizers for this special town hall-style meeting invite residents, commercial neighbors and existing neighborhood groups within and near the focus area bounded by State Street and 18th Avenue, the Rock River to 11th Street.
Morning Star Church, Midtown District, Zion Development, representatives from the City of Rockford, Neighborhood Network and others invite people to the Special Central City Neighborhoods Meeting to discuss neighborhood issues and how to work together to solve them; available assistance, including existing neighborhood groups; and forming additional neighborhood groups or watches.
Attendees are requested to contact Neighborhood Network in advance of any specific concerns so information or personnel can be made available to address those issues.
