Local church uses unique approach to teach message of God’s love
Online Staff Report
Looking for a fun way to teach your kids about the Bible and all the lessons that it holds? You might want to consider trying out for the Court Street United Methodist Church’s Puppet Ministry Team. Auditions/interviews for the team will be held Sept. 26. Those interested can call the church’s office at (814) 962-6061 to schedule an appointment.
Puppets serve as a useful tool to help participants focus less on themselves and more on the emotions tied to stories being told. They help tell the story in a way that is easy to remember and enjoyable to watch.
The auditions are for children ages 10 and older, and adults are welcome to audition as well. Children must be age 10 by July 2013 in order to audition. Everyone who qualifies will be allowed to take part.
The Puppet Ministry will be funded by free-will donations, and there is no cost for those taking part.
