Remember other races on the ballot
While everyone has been focused on the presidential election between Mitt Romney and Barack Obama, it is important to remember the races that are further down the ballot this November.
Rep. Bobby Schilling’s run for re-election in the redrawn 17 Congressional District, Glen Weber’s Winnebago County State’s Attorney race, Frank Gambino’s state Senate race, John Cabello’s state house race, and the county board races all matter, and all of them impact you.
When you leave the polling booth, please take a second to make sure that you left no race unfilled; your vote matters, as does whom you select to hold these offices and more.

Afraid to even mention the names of their opponents, Mr. Arn?
Carl Wasco is the Democratic Candidate for the House Seat. An excellent and well respected individual.
Cheri Bustos is running for Congress in the 17th District. Also a very capable an worthy candidate.
Steve Stadelman, Candidate for the 34th State Senate Seat. We all know Steve, through his television work and his extensive involvement in our community.
Joe Bruscato, our current State’s Attorney is running again for that office. His reputation and work record merits our support.
These four, and of course many others are all very hardworking, worthy, capable and honorable candidates. Possibly not the of the political party you favor but still due the respect of mention in your letter listing candidates in the race.
