Rockton Dental Care to host ‘Dentistry From the Heart’
Staff Report
ROCKTON, Ill. — Rockton Dental Care will host a free dental care event through “Dentistry From the Heart” (DFTH) supporting residents by providing free dental services to the first 150 people or as many as they can see.
The team of dental professionals at Rockton Dental Care will provide the first 150 adult patients with a free extraction, filling or cleaning. There will also be several hygienists, dental assistants and other dental professionals donating their time and resources to provide free dental care to as many residents in need as possible. This DFTH event will donate thousands of dollars in free dental care and provide much-needed relief to people in need in the community.
The media are invited to join the teams of volunteers, patients and Rockton Dental Care Friday, Sept. 21, to spread free smiles across Rockton, Ill. through Dentistry From the Heart at 213 W. Main St. in Rockton. Patients are asked to arrive early as the event is a first-come, first-served basis. Event registration will begin at 7 a.m., and patients will be seen through 5 p.m. Patients are also encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather, to bring chairs, water, snacks, etc., as they may be outside waiting to be seen.
This is the first such event for Rockton Dental Care, and like hundreds of other Dentistry From the Heart members, this will not be their last. This sort of outreach comes complete with improved smiles, relief from suffering and a warm sense of gratitude that pervades. The services provided by Dentistry From the Heart not only help a patient’s teeth and overall health, it gives them a renewed reason to smile.

What are the implications of healthcare reform on dental care? http://www.healthcaretownhall.com/?p=4883
Today a lot of people never get dental insurance included in their medical insurance policy. In fact a long time back, the thousand dollars of dental fees were not even covered by insurance policies.
Thanks.
The health of the gums is, in addition to plaque, affected by a variety of other factors. These are smoking, a change in hormonal levels associated with pregnancy and menopause in women, certain medication, , stress, diabetes, teeth grinding, poor nutrition and obesity.
What an admirable act of kindness! This is really two thumbs up. These people should be praised for their effort of rendering free service.
Medicare insurance will not involve the dental care as it the costly process! The people should be praised!

Oh! This is a great opportunity for the residents of Rockton to have their teeth check by a dentist. This would be big help for the residents who cannot afford dental care. And I guess we should also give credit to those individuals who unselfishly spend time in this kind of activity.
