Exhibiting artists were judged Saturday, Sept. 15, at the 64th Greenwich Village Art Fair by 2012 Juror Julie Ganser, director of advising, programs and outreach in the art department at the University of Wisconsin — Madison. Ganser named the following award winners Sept. 16:
Best of Show, $1,000: Scott Westgard, Buffalo Grove, Ill.;
Judge’s Choice, $500: Betsy Youngquist, Rockford;
Judge’s Choice, $500: Debra Dembowski, Pewaukee, Wis.;
Judge’s Choice, $500: Pam Kehoe-Peterson, Rockford;
Judge’s Choice, $500: Norm Knott, Rockford;
Judge’s Choice, $500: Jennifer Johansson, Carterville, Ill.;
Judge’s Choice, $500: Melody Newton, Rockford;
Honorable Mention, five awards, $100 each: Larry Anderson, Lake Zurich, Ill.; Jim Becia, Mount Horeb, Wis.; Joseph Church, Rockford; Sharon Fujimoto, Amherst Junction, Wis.; and Johwey Redington, Loves Park, Ill.; and
Emerging Artist: Shannon Blosser-Salisbury.
More than 100 juried artists from across the nation exhibited at this year’s fair. Types of artwork represented included paintings, prints and drawings, sculpture, glass, ceramics, textiles, jewelry, photography and more.
