Perryville traffic to be affected by ‘World War II Days’ Sept. 21-24

The traffic signal operation at the intersection of Perryville Road and Crimson Ridge will be temporarily changed to accommodate the west approach to the intersection for the “World War II Days” event at Midway Village, 6799 Guilford Road, Rockford.

The change will result in less green time for Perryville Road traffic and will affect north-south traffic progression.

The traffic light change is scheduled to be initiated on the afternoon of Friday, Sept. 21, and to be changed back to normal operation on the morning of Monday, Sept. 24. Motorists should expect delays.

World Ward II Days is at Midway Village & Museum Center Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 22-23. Event begins at 11 a.m. both days and includes elaborate, realistic battles with tanks, artillery, armored vehicles and pyrotechnic displays.

One-day admission is $12 adults, $6 children age 3-17, free for WWII veterans and museum members; two-day event passes are $18 adults, $9 children.
