Quad Cities call for essay entrees on the theme of ‘Water’

Be political, environmental, nostalgic, culinary, historical, scientific … Tell an anecdote, fable, reminiscence, family story, urban legend … Youth and adult levels. Word limit is 500. A $50 prize for first place in each category and the opportunity to read your essay at the Quad Cities Water Lore program at 7 p.m., Monday, Nov. 5, at the Bettendorf Public Library. Submission must be at the Bettendorf Public Library or postmarked by Oct 1. Submit to:
