Man faces sentencing after being found guilty of sexual assault of child

Dennis James Rahn, 31, was found guilty Sept. 26 of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child after a jury trial. The offense involved a child younger than 13.

Predatory criminal sexual assault of a child is class X felony that has a sentencing range of six to 60 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections with lifetime registration as a child sex offender.

Sentencing is scheduled for 9 a.m., Nov. 21, in Courtroom A of the Winnebago County Courthouse, 400 W. State St., Rockford.
