Open casting call for ‘MasterChef’ Oct. 20 at Chicago’s Le Cordon Bleu

Online Staff Report

CHICAGO — Award-winning chef Gordon Ramsay is back, along with restaurateur Joe Bastianich and acclaimed chef Graham Elliot, to find America’s next best home cook.

FOX’s MasterChef TV show is looking for the most talented, amateur cooks in America who want to change their lives. An open casting call will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 20, at Le Cordon Bleu, 361 W. Chestnut St., Chicago.

Open calls are also being held at other cities across America. Those interested in trying out are encouraged to bring one dish that best represents their cooking style.

Whether it’s the recipe that has been in their family for generations, the dish that made your loved one say “I do” or the meal that can tell us who you are, you MUST bring one prepared dish to be served to the judges. You will be given a few minutes to plate your dish, but there will not be a kitchen — so go prepared!

Visit for more information and to preregister. If you are unable to access the website to preregister, show up to one of the casting calls with your dish.
