Oct. 17-19 public roundtables to address local tourism

Staff Report

The Rockford Area Convention & Visitors Bureau invites industry partners and local residents to attend one of three upcoming roundtable discussions where they can share ideas and priorities for growing the visitor industry and generating more money for the local economy.

RAVCB hosted similar roundtable series over the past three years; feedback received during those sessions was incorporated into RACVB’s plans and priorities. “These roundtables are an integral part of our planning process. Each year, our strategic plans and goals reflect many of the ideas brought forth during these discussions,” said John Groh, RACVB president/CEO.

The three roundtables are scheduled as follows:

Wednesday, Oct. 17, 9 a.m., at Prairie Street Brewhouse, 200 Prairie St., Rockford

Thursday, Oct. 18, 6 p.m., at Courtyard by Marriott, 7676 E. State St., Rockford

Friday, Oct. 19, 11 a.m. at Ethnic Heritage Museum, 1129 S. Main St., Rockford

RSVP to Lauren Sanderson, director of operations at lsanderson@gorockford.com or (815) 489-1673.
