Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Academy (OLSHA) has announced a high school student has been named an AP Scholar. Augustine H. Bageanis, a senior, earned the award of AP Scholar from the College Board in recognition of exemplary college-level achievement on Advanced Placement Program Examinations.
The AP Scholar award is granted to students who receive scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP exams; Bageanis received a score of 3 on four AP exams.
“Our students work hard, and it is a pleasure to recognize their achievements,” said Kate Christensen, the academy’s assistant principal. “Both teachers and students take great pride in doing their best.”
In 2006, OLSHA was named a Top 50 Catholic High School by the Acton Institute, and in 2009 it was the winner of the Salvatori Award for Excellence in Teaching from Hillsdale College.
