State’s Attorney, 34th District Senate debates at Rockford College

Debates for Winnebago County State’s Attorney and the 34th District Illinois Senate seat will be at Rockford College Oct. 10 and 24, respectively.

Both debates will run 7-8 p.m. at Rockford College Fisher Memorial Chapel, 5050 E. State St., Rockford. Admission is free and open to the public.

The Oct. 10 state’s attorney debate will feature Winnebago County State’s Attorney Joe Bruscato (D) and candidate Glen Weber (R).

The Oct. 24 34th District Senate seat debate will feature candidates Steve Stadelman (D) and Frank Gambino (R).

Both races will appear on the ballot in the Tuesday, Nov. 6, General Election.

Both debates will be moderated by Professor and Chairman of the Department of Political Science Jules Gleicher, Ph.D. Various questions will be asked pertaining to the most crucial issues, and candidates will be asked to explain and debate their views.

The debates will be broadcast live on Rockford College Radio and Rockford College’s U-stream Live Channel. Time will be allowed for meeting the candidates individually following the debate.
