Vicitim in Belden Street homicide named

Samantha Therriault, 27, has been identified as the victim in the homicide case in the 2300 block of Belden Street on Rockford’s west side, near Rockford Memorial Hospital.

According to the Winnebago County Coroner’s Office, Therriault’s body did receive trauma, although further tests are pending.

Police were called to the scene shortly after 5 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 10.
