More than 150 soccer teams in town for Oct. 20-21 tournament at Sportscore Two

More than 150 soccer teams will be featured in the SuperClubs Rockford Champions Cup Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 20-21, at Sportscore Two, 8800 Riverside Blvd., Loves Park, Ill.

Teams from Kansas, Missouri, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Iowa and more will participate in divisions that include U8-U10, U11-U12, U12-U19 and men’s and women’s open.

Games begin at 8 a.m. both days. Spectator admission is free. Visit http://www.htgsports.net/events.aspx for a complete play schedule.

This is the eighth year the Rockford region has hosted this event. Approximately 6,700 players, coaches and fans will take part. The tournament will fill 2,340 hotel room nights and is expected to generate an estimated $420,000 for area businesses.
