Freeport Sensata plant shuts down for weekend as protests of the company’s outsourcing grow » Sensata

The Sensata Technologies plant in Freeport, Ill., has sent workers home and closed the plant for the entire weekend, barricading the entrances and telling second-shift workers not to report to work. MSNB’s “The Ed Show” will broadcast live from “Bainport” — the Sensata workers’ encampment across the street from the plant at Stephenson County Fairgrounds — tonight, Friday, Oct. 19.
