‘Trick or Treat at the Museum’ Oct. 27 at Stephenson County Historical Society Museum

FREEPORT, Ill. — Halloween stories, hot cider and kids in costume return to the Stephenson County Historical Society Museum Saturday, Oct. 27, for the annual “Trick or Treat at the Museum.” The evening runs 5-7 p.m.
Free hot apple cider and popcorn will be provided, while Jimmy John’s will provide free sample sandwiches. Pop and water will be for sale, along with numerous items from the Museum Gift Shop relating to Halloween themes.
Kathy Tobin will read Halloween stories to the children at 5:15 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. After each story session, children in costume will be invited to “Trick or Treat” around the museum campus, where volunteers will hand out treats.
Admission is free to children 12 years and younger in costume if they are accompanied by a paying adult. Admission fee of $1 will be charged for all adults and any child not in costume.
