RVC hosts panel discussion: ‘Being Latino in Rockford’

The Rock Valley College PAIC (Promoting an Inclusive Community) Committee will present “Being Latino in Rockford: Listening to Experiences” from noon to 1 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 30, in the Student Center Atrium on RVC’s main campus, 3301 N. Mulford Road.
Panelists for the discussion will include: Luz M. Ramirez, executive director, La Voz Latina; Mary Lou Castro, executive director, League of United Lated Latin American Citizens; Patricia Chavez, Learning for Life Program, Blackhawk Area Council; Alma Mandujano, RVC student, president of Association of Latin American Students (ALAS); Victoria DeLaRosa, RVC Citizenship Program coordinator, Refugee & Immigrant Services; Vincent E. Rangel, senior VP, Community Relations, MIRAMAR International Group, Inc.
The moderator will be Betty Villalobos-Hallman of Rock Valley College.
The program is free and open to the public.
