Trick-or-treat with CoCo at Rockford’s CoCo Key Oct. 27

Children of all ages are invited to wear their Halloween costumes to CoCo Key Water Resort Saturday, Oct. 27, to participate in a special Halloween parade.
CoCo Key is inside Best Western Clock Tower Resort and Conference Center, 7801 E. State St., Rockford.
The parade begins at the indoor water park at 11 a.m. with CoCo, the park’s giant parrot mascot, leading the children through the resort to the various shops for trick-or-treating fun. Every child in costume also receives an extra treat: a free admission to CoCo Key.
The event is a kickoff for “CoCo’s Harvest for the Hungry,” the water park’s annual food drive. There is no cost to participate in the parade, but all children are asked to bring a non-perishable food item for donation. All donated food items will go to the Rock River Valley Food Pantry.
The “CoCo’s Harvest for the Hungry” promotion will begin Sunday, Oct. 28. Each Sunday, guests can bring in a non-perishable food donation for the Rock River Valley Food Pantry will receive $3 off admission to the indoor water park. There is a one $3 discount limit per admission, and the discount must be used at the time of donation, no credits or coupons can be issued. The “CoCo’s Harvest for the Hungry” promotion runs through Nov. 18.
