Rockford Public School District held a Community Open House at the new Rockford Innovative Center (ILC) in the former Abilities Center building, 1907 Kishwaukee St., Wednesday, Oct. 17. The goal of the ILC is to help non-traditional or “at-risk” students graduate from high school and possibly go on to post-secondary education. The ILC is part of the controversial computer-based Ombudsman program. (Photo by Jon McGinty)
