Rock Valley offers Veterans Day ceremonies Nov. 8, 9

Rock Valley College’s (RVC) Veterans Advisory Committee, Veterans Club and Veterans Services invite members of the community to two 13th Annual Veterans Day Remembrance Ceremonies.

The first ceremony will begin at noon, Thursday, Nov. 8, in the commons area at the RVC Stenstrom Center for Career Education, 4151 Samuleson Road, next to RockfordJefferson High School.

The second ceremony will be at noon, Friday, Nov. 9, in the Student Center Atrium on the RVC main campus, 3301 N. Mulford Road.

Both events will feature a color guard, music from the RVC choir and readings of remembrance from RVC students. A light lunch will be provided at both locations. Both locations will also be accepting donations for care packages to be sent to the military serving overseas, as well as items for the Rock Valley Food Pantry.
