Man injured after Nov. 8 home invasion on Montague Street

A Rockford man was punched in the mouth and left with a cut lip after three men broke into his home in the 1900 block of Montague Street around 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 8.

The victim reported he heard knocking at his door and answered it. He was then confronted by three men, one of whom punched him in the face. The men then went into a back bedroom and ransacked the room. The victim could not immediately determine whether anything had been taken.

The intruders were described as black males, ages 15-40, wearing dark clothing.
