Edgebrook’s Tree Lighting Ceremony and Open House Nov. 16-17

Rockford’s Edgebrook shopping center has scheduled its annual Tree Lighting Ceremony and Open House for 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 16, and noon to 4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 17.

The event is free, and there will be plenty of merchant specials, promotions and discounts offered throughout the holiday shopping season.

The annual Tree Lighting will take place from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 16. Share in the festivities with Edgebrook merchants and the WREX news team.

The lighting will happen right at 6 p.m. Live musical entertainment will be provided by Rockford Boylan Catholic High School at 5 p.m. and Rockford Lutheran High School at 6 p.m.

Bring a gift of at least one canned good to the Edgebrook management office prior to the event or on the night of the tree lighting to be placed under the tree Nov. 16 and automatically be entered into a drawing to win a $100 Edgebrook Gift Certificate. The winner’s name will be drawn and announced on WREX during their live weather remote at 6 p.m. that evening.

Edgebrook is ready for a busy holiday shopping season, and the Open House from noon to 4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 17, is a way to see all the unique items the merchants have to offer. Santa will be visiting Infinitely Sweet all afternoon. A free photo opportunity and toy will be given to all children who visit.

Select stores will have extended hours throughout the holidays to provide customers with shopping convenience and flexibility. Customers should contact their favorite Edgebrook stores for specific hours.
