Rockford’s Second Annual Downtown Holiday begins

Happy Holidays in Rockford! It’s time for the Second Annual Downtown Holiday. The Rockford Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (RACVB) is working with the River District Association to deck the halls and ensure a festive holiday season.

All downtown businesses are encouraged to decorate windows or storefronts by Dec. 1. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place.

There is much to celebrate this holiday season in Rockford. Retail is making a comeback with Shop Downtown taking place every day until Dec. 22, with extended hours on Saturdays. Ice skating returns to Davis Park with the Harris Winter Wonderland, and some new restaurants have opened recently. Encourage your customers to spend some time downtown shopping, trying something new for dinner and enjoying the holidays outdoors.
