Katie’s Cup Conversations continue Dec. 1

Staff Report

The public is invited to a Katie’s Cup Conversation presentation from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Dec. 1, at Katie’s Cup coffeebar, 502 Seventh St., Rockford.

The presenter will be Esther Prabhaker, Rochelle, Ill., who will share a book of daily devotionals written by her father in 1924 when he was a teen-ager in college.

The book is A Father’s Legacy: Noble Reflections — Abiding in the Vine Day by Day by B. Noble Kantayya. This unique compilation — a mixture of Bible verses, quotes from philosophers, poets and spiritual leaders, and his own personal reflections — transcends culture and time.

Attendees are encouraged to bring or share special legacy items, heirloom pieces and stories that have been handed down to them.

Esther Prabhaker is a well-known speaker and writer. She has served as an Augustana College trustee; vice president of the Northern Illinois Synod, ELCA; Northern Illinois Synod WELCA president; and a “Woman to Woman” visitor to South Africa.

Noble Reflections will be offered for sale at the event at $20 plus tax.

Cost of the program, which includes coffee and pastries, is $5, payable at the door.

Reservations are requested and should be made by Wednesday, Nov. 28. Call (815) 397-5911 or e-mail RALMmail@aol.com.
