Midtown District kicks off first ‘City Sidewalks on Seventh’ Nov. 23

Friday, Nov. 23, Rockford’s Midtown District kicks off its first City Sidewalks on Seventh event.
Midtown businesses, organizations and community members are decorating business storefronts with festive holiday themes such as Santa’s Workshop, Night Before Christmas, Snow Queen, Nativity Scene and Kwanzaa, just to name a few.
Holiday activities include Santa at Katie’s Cup Nov. 23 and at JustGoods Saturday, Nov. 24; spoken-word artist Christopher Sims performing at Katie’s Cup Nov. 24; and holiday windows on display through December.
The public is invited to walk the streets and attend the events.
Participating businesses and organizations are Benson Stone, Centennial Church, Christensen Funeral Home and Crematory, Colorlab Cosmetics, Emmanuel Lutheran Church, JustGoods, Katie’s Cup, Midtown District Association, Orchid Neighborhood Group, Nicholson’s Hardware and Rockford Urban Ministries.
