Mary’s Place hosts benefit for Rock River Valley Pantry

Mary’s Place, 602 N. Madison St., Rockford, will host its eighth annual Holiday Extravaganza benefit for the Rock River Valley Pantry Friday and Saturday, Dec. 14-15. Event begins at 9 p.m., Friday, and 4 p.m., Saturday.
Performance lineup is as follows by day:
Friday — 9 p.m., Paper Airplane; 10:15 p.m., The Vince Chiarelli Band; 11:30 p.m., Between Planes; and 12:45 a.m., Long Shot.
Saturday — 4 p.m., Soap Flossers; 5:15 p.m., Tommy Yuccas; 6:30 p.m., Carlita; 7:45 p.m., Michael Whyte & Sunset Movies; 9 p.m., Law and Love; 10:15 p.m., Abominable No Men; 11:30 p.m., King of the Demons; and 12:45 a.m., The Crastinators.
The benefit expanded to two days last year. Admission is $5 with $1 subtracted from admission for every non-perishable food item donated. Of particular need are canned vegetables and dried pasta.
