Six arrested following year-long narcotics investigation

As part of a narcotics investigation conducted by members of the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department, the Rockford Police Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, the below listed individuals were charged with state criminal charges related to the investigation.

The investigation began in early 2012. The following arrests were made Wednesday, Dec. 19.

• Kevin Vongsavath, 28 — Eight counts of violation of the Illinois Controlled Substance Act (delivery of cocaine); one count of violation of the Cannabis Control Act; and one count of violation of the Illinois Controlled Substance Act (possession of less than 200 grams of Psilocybin).

• Bradley Martin Nietz, 28 — 1 count of violation of the Illinois Controlled Substance Act (possession of cocaine); and one count of violation of the Cannabis Control Act (possession of 70 grams of cannabis).

• Calvin Williams, 24 — One count of violation of the Illinois Controlled Substance Act (possession with intent to deliver 1-15 grams of heroin); and one count of resisting an officer — contempt of court warrant.

• David Eugene Spickler, 46 — One count of violation of the Illinois Controlled Substance Act (possession of cocaine); and contempt of court warrant.

• Danny Chapman, 50 — Contempt of court warrant.

• Brian Lee Clark, 35 — Two contempt of court warrants.

All are being held at Winnebago County Jail.
