A look at the Minnesota Vikings’ All-Time Dream Team

Last week, I wrote a column in which I picked my Chicago Bears All-Time Dream Team. I was inspired to do so by my best friend. He took the time to formulate his Minnesota Vikings All-Time Dream Team and challenged me to do the same with the Bears. That is where the idea originated.

Here is who he picked to be on his team.

His offense is led by quarterback, No. 10, Fran Tarkenton. His choices for running backs include current superstar No. 28 Adrian Peterson and No. 20 Tommy Mason. I would have picked Robert Smith over Mason.

No. 80 Cris Carter and No. 81 Anthony Carter anchor the wide receiver positions. The starting tight end is No. 85 Jim Kleinsasser. I think some Vikings fans would have taken Randy Moss over one of the Carters, probably Anthony.

The offensive line includes No. 77 Korey Stringer and No. 65 Gary Zimmerman at tackles. The guards are No. 64 Randle McDaniel and No.71 David Dixon. His center is No.75 Matt Birk.

On the defensive side of the ball, he has No. 55 Jack Del Rio, No. 57 Mike Merriweather and No. 58 Ed McDaniel handling the linebacker duties.

His line includes some of the best the NFL has ever known. No. 56 Chris Doleman and No. 81 Carl Eller are the ends. His tackles are No. 93 John Randle and No. 88 Alan Page.

The safeties are No. 22 Paul Krause and No. 47 Joey Browner. They are joined by cornerbacks No. 26 Audray McMillian and No. 27 Corey Fuller.

His kicker is wears No. 1, Gary Anderson.

Even though I’m not a Vikings fan, I have to admit it’s a pretty solid team all-around. That being said, I still think my All-Time Bears Team would take ’em!

Now, I’m waiting for someone to submit an All-Time Green Bay Packers Team. Here, let me get you started. Would anyone disagree with No. 4 Brett Favre as the starting quarterback?
