Nationally known flutist to perform at Court Street UMC

French flutist Mathieu Dufour will perform at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 13, during a Mendelssohn concert at Court Street United Methodist Church, 215 N. Court St.
Appointed as principal flutist of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in 1999 at the age of 25, Dufour is one of the youngest performers ever to hold such a position. He played the Ibert Flute Concerto with the CSO last September and will play the Khachaturian Flute Concerto with the group in March.
