Local 11-year-old to have own radio show on Rockford College Radio beginning Jan. 22

Eleven-year-old sixth-grader Myles Buchanan is set to debut his own radio show on Rockford College Radio.
Buchanan, a local student, has been pursuing this opportunity for more than two years. His show, titled The Scoop, will air at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 22.
A first of its kind in the local area, The Scoop is a radio show for kids. Topics include information about area attractions, celebrity updates, news, music, sports and more.
“I have been trying to get my own radio show for two years,” Buchanan said. “I want to thank Rockford College Radio for giving me this opportunity. The kid listeners and their parents are in for a real treat.”
The Scoop will air two times per month. Listeners can access each show by visiting rockfordcollegeradio.com.
