Winnebago County Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Program recently welcomed 12 new CASA volunteers. After completion of class instruction, they were sworn in by Judge Mary Linn Green.
The graduates are Mike Harvey, Kathy Hoople, Carrie Holmes, Nancy Borchardt, Lauria Johnson, Sehade Sejdini, Amy Reul, Tina Nunez, Kathy Laird, Pat Fausett, Peter Damby and Sharon Pickett.
CASA is a program that provides the Juvenile Abuse & Neglect Court judge with trained community volunteers to serve as Guardians ad litem for abused and neglected children. CASA volunteers advocate for the best interests of a child; the goal of every CASA volunteer is a safe, permanent home for each child.
