Attorney Madigan, I see that you have been quoted, “I will continue to prosecute employers who violate the law by failing to pay the full wages their employees are due.” I have been violated by my employer and would like to know what steps I can take to recover lost wages. My Employer is the Illinois Dept. of Corrections and I am owed my raises and a substantial amount of back pay. I appreciate any help on this matter. Thank you very much.

If you feel so strongly about the citizens of the stat get what is owed to them, what about us, those who work for the state? We need your support as well after all you represent all of us, right

My husband works as a contractual truck driver and has yet (after 14 years of service to the same employer) to recieve prevailing wage. How does he file a claim? I have to say however that he is under contract with the State of Illinois so I guess he’s lucky he’s getting paid at all. We all know the law of the State of Illinois doesn’t seem to apply to the State of Illinois. Ironic?
