Two arrested following narcotics search on North Hinkley in Rockford

Friday, Jan. 25, members of the Rockford Police Department’s Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at 434 N. Hinkley Ave.
Detectives located four adult males inside the residence. After a complete search, detectives located 14 individual bags of suspected crack cocaine, 10 ecstasy pills, United States currency and two handguns.
One of the handguns had been reported stolen from Freeport, Ill.
Detectives arrested Michael L. Joyner, 22, and Denardo G. Bethany, 36, both of Rockford.
Joyner was arrested for possession of stolen property and no firearm owner’s identification card.
Bethany was arrested for possession of a controlled substance (MDMA).
Both are being held at Winnebago County Jail.
