Two Rockford men arrested following rash of county-wide burglaries

During the past several weeks, numerous residential burglaries (in excess of 20) have occurred throughout the county. Entry to homes has been gained by forcing open doors. Items taken have included TVs and jewelry.

Winnebago County Sheriff’s detectives along with Rockford Police detectives and patrol officers of both agencies worked together on this series of burglaries.

The investigation resulted in the arrests of Robert Burns, 34, and Anthony F. Ollie, 28, both of Rockford.

Both were taken into custody on Friday 1-24-13.

The investigation is ongoing.
