Rockford woman sentenced to 30 months for March 2012 robbery of Associated Bank

Latoya Shaunta Burrows of Rockford has been sentenced to 30 months in federal prison for the March 2012 robbery of Associated Bank, 612 N. Main St., Rockford.
Burrows was indicted in April and pled guilty to the robbery Oct. 29, 2012.
A written plea agreement stated Burrows entered the bank before 11 a.m., March 20, 2012, bypassed a line, and went directly to the counter, passing the teller a folded piece of paper stating, “Put the money in the bag and nobody will get hurt.”
The teller took cash out of the drawer, but told Burrows he did not have a bag to put the money in. Burrows then took the money, stuffed it in her bra, and walked out of the bank. She was arrested shortly after the incident.
