Kids Spot Tumbling and Trampoline athletes bring home gold

ROSCOE, Ill. — Members of the Kids Spot Tumbling and Trampoline team showed off their high-flying skills Sunday, Jan. 20, at the GAR Winter Invitational at Belvidere North High School. More than 40 athletes from Kids Spot participated in the competition, which consisted of three different events: power tumbling, trampoline and double mini. The athletes, ranging in age from 5 to 13 years, earned 46 top-three finishes, including 13 first-place trophies.
Kids Spot Tumbling and Trampoline Team athletes train two to 10 hours per week, learning to flip and twist with perfection. Next month, they will travel to Bourbonnais, Ill., as they work toward their state competition in April.
