Go Red for Women Luncheon Feb. 20 at Giovanni’s
Rockford women and the men who love them will join the fight against heart disease in women at the American Heart Association’s annual Go Red for Women Luncheon, Wednesday, Feb. 20, at Giovanni’s Restaurant and Convention Center, 610 N. Bell School Road, Rockford.
The Go Red for Women luncheon — with Chairman Rebecca Epperson, president of PR Etc. — is the signature fund-raising event of the campaign, which raises awareness of women’s No. 1 killer, heart disease.
Rockford’s Go Red for Women Luncheon event kicks off at 11 a.m. and will include an educational breakfast session, health screenings and a silent auction.
This year, the Rockford Go Red for Women Luncheon theme is around sisterhood and inspiration. It will focus on three areas to support in the fight against heart disease in women: heightening awareness of the issue, creating a passionate call-to-action, and generating funds to support education and research.
