Anti-Gun Violence Rally Feb. 22 at downtown Federal Building

Local members of MoveOn.org [1] will hold an Anti-Gun Violence Rally at 12:15 p.m., Friday, Feb. 22, at the Federal Building, 327 S. Church St., Rockford.
According to a release from the event’s organizers: “Our Second Amendment rights are long overdue for a reevaluation. How many more senseless and entirely PREVENTABLE shootings have to occur before we do something about gun control?
“This event is in conjunction with other groups such as Occupy Rockford, Organizing for America and Progressive Democrats for America and with rallies to be held across America on this day.
“There will be several speakers on this topic as well as petitions to sign.”
