Court Street UMC helps kids with Angel Tree program

The local Angel Tree Program run by Rockford’s Court Street United Methodist Church helped 55 children from Rockford have a happier Christmas this year.
Angel Tree is a nationwide ministry of prison fellowship program designed to help children who have a parent serving time in prison. Church members purchase gifts for the children to remind them they are not forgotten and are loved.
Church members donated funds to purchase two gifts for each child on behalf of the incarcerated parent, wrapped the gifts and delivered them to the families. Each child received a toy and a clothing item. Gifts were purchased for 55 children from 26 families in the church neighborhood and Rockford area.
Court Street UMC is at 215 N. Court St., Rockford.
