State police seize $40,000 in cash, pistol after arresting Chicago man on I-90

PECATONICA, Ill. — At approximately 3 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 20, an Illinois State Trooper conducted a traffic stop in the eastbound lanes of I-90 near milepost 7 in Winnebago County.
A blue 2008 Chevrolet passenger car was stopped, and the driver, Sie Fleming, 21, of Chicago, was taken into custody for a Boone County arrest warrant.
Subsequent to his arrest, Fleming was found to be in possession of cocaine residue, approximately $40,000 cash and a loaded Lorcin semi-automatic .380 pistol.
Troopers arrested and charged Fleming with traffic violations as well as unlawful use of weapons, possession of a firearm with no FOID and possession of a controlled substance.
