Third of three suspects in May 22, 2012, Auburn Street BP murder in custody

The third of three suspects in the May 22, 2012, murder of 18-year-old Dwayne C. Buchanan at the BP Amoco station at 3721 Auburn St., has been arrested.
Russell Jefferson, 24, of Rockford, was arrested at 10:15 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 24, at a residence in the 600 block of South Third Street following a tip obtained through CrimeStoppers.
Jefferson is charged with six counts of first-degree murder, unlawful possession of a firearm by a gang member and unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Jefferson is being held at Winnebago County Jail.
Martell Buckley, 25, and Rico Jefferson, 22, both of Rockford, are also charged with Buchanan’s murder.
Buckley has been charged with six counts of first-degree murder, unlawful possession of a firearm by a gang member and unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Rico Jefferson has been charged with six counts of first-degree murder, unlawful possession of a firearm by a gang member and unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Buckley and Rico Jefferson were previously taken into custody.
