FORT ATKINSON, Wis. — The Fireside Dinner Theatre (www.firesidetheatre.com) continues its 36th season with a musical stage adaptation of the beloved film and Broadway favorite, Footloose: The Musical, premiering Feb. 28 and running through April 14 in Fort Atkinson, Wis.
Inspired by the wildly popular 1984 movie, Footloose is a story of American spirit — a carefree city kid transplanted to a small rural town where rock ’n’ roll and dancing are forbidden sets out to change hearts and minds, makes all the right moves and wins the girl.
The Fireside’s Footloose is directed by Ed Flesch and features musical direction by Mary Ehlinger and choreography by Kate Swan. The show’s cast includes 22 professional singers and dancers led by Broadway actor Victor Hernandez as Reverend Shaw Moore, Alexander Hulett as Ren McCormack and Kim Sava as Ariel Moore. They join Fireside favorites Rhonda Rae Busch as Lulu Warnicker and Michael Hawes as Principal Clark.
With special youth packages and a Four-for-Three special on Thursday evenings and Sunday middays, the show is sure to be a hit with audiences of all ages.
Every performance of Footloose at The Fireside comes with a fine dining experience, access to several boutique shops right at the theater, and free, convenient parking.
