The H.O.P.E. Foundation’s 13th Annual “Touch of Spring” fund-raiser and dance to benefit Rockton Hononegah High School will be Saturday, March 2, at the American Center Banquet Hall in downtown Rockton. This year’s event is going tropical with a hint of Jimmy Buffett. The event includes a social hour from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., and dancing from 8 to 11 p.m. Only 150 tickets are available for this event with limited seating.
The H.O.P.E. Foundation (Hononegah Opportunities for Public Education) is a nonprofit organization, founded in 1997, that has established an endowment for school projects and programs, student scholarships and teacher grants. It is the foundation’s mission to provide monetary resources for Hononegah High School, the students and teachers. To meet these goals, the “Touch of Spring” continues to be the organization’s biggest fund-raiser. Similar to college foundations, the H.O.P.E. Foundation relies on community and business support to fund this endowment.
A ticket to this event, which is $100 for two people, includes dinner, dancing, a silent auction and the chance to win cash prizes. Throughout the evening, there will be 41 tickets drawn for cash prizes totaling $6,300.
