Looking Beyond the Mask addresses HIV/AIDS

Event set for April 20 at Rockford West Middle School

People Supporting People HIV/AIDS Alliance, formerly known as Brothers and Sisters United Against HIV/AIDS (BASUAH), in collaboration with T.S.A.a. Unlimited Productions, presents Looking Beyond the Mask, a play about the masks people wear to hide their issues.

The play touches on such topics as HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention, incarceration, church and family issues.

The production will be at 6 p.m., Saturday, April 20, in the Rockford West Middle School auditorium, 1900 N. Rockton Ave.

Looking Beyond the Mask is directed, written by and features local talent of the Rockford area, and the performance will enlighten the audience about issues that are vital within the Rockford community. Proceeds from the production will support People Supporting People’s mission of providing information about prevention, testing, education and awareness of HIV/AIDS in Rockford and the surrounding areas.
