The First Tee of Greater Rockford will hold its Fifth Annual Golf Play Day May 17 at Ingersoll Golf Course. The event is open to the public and requires advance registration.
Proceeds from this event will help support The First Tee of Greater Rockford in its mission to help kids through a variety of programs. The First Tee of Greater Rockford’s mission is to impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf.
Team fees for the Golf Play Day are $400, and several sponsorship opportunities are available starting at $250.
“The First Tee is relatively new, but working with the Rockford Park District and the Rockford Public Schools, we are already seeing great strides in educating children in the region,” said Executive Director Patty Henk. “The First Tee is part of the education solution in the community with RPS 205 taking part in The First Tee’s National School Program.”

Ingersoll Memorial Golf Course is at 101 Daisyfield Road, Rockford. Golf Play Day will begin at 11 a.m. with check-in and lunch. Shotgun start is at 1 p.m. A Mexican buffet will follow the rounds of golf.
