Go ‘behind the scenes’ at Anderson Gardens May 23

Join Anderson Japanese Gardens Curator and Head of Horticulture Tim Gruner for a walking tour featuring the gardens’ architecture from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, May 23.

Participants will be able to experience a “behind-the-scenes” tour of the various structures that comprise the award-winning garden.

The tour will provide participants with detailed information about the Guest House, Tea House, gates, bridges and more.

Gruner will provide a history of the gardens’ architecture, discuss Sukiya-style and its function, and explain construction techniques used to build the structures.

The tour is limited to 12 participants and registration is required. Cost is $30 for non-members and $25 for members.
