Guest column on clear-cutting of DeKalb Nature Trail ‘powerful’

Editor’s note: The following is in response to the May 22-28, 2013, guest column “Spinning prairie after clear-cutting in DeKalb, part one.” This letter was addressed to Editor & Publisher Frank Schier.

I saw the piece today and it really hit me as powerful. Thank you so much for getting the real story of the DeKalb Nature Trail clear-cutting out there — and two parts! That’s very exciting. Thanks, too, for your advice, your support and your wisdom. That all sounds very vague, but it’s true. In this nature trail incident alone, you have helped so many people — how to count? But so many — in ways that you probably don’t even know. Thanks very much.
