Rock Valley College (RVC) Starlight Theatre’s 47th season will get under way June 5, with the appropriately titled Starlight Express.
Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Starlight Express (June 5-8 and July 10-14) tells the story of a child’s train set that magically comes to life and of the various engines that compete to become the “Fastest Engine in the World.”
This year’s productions will also include Xanadu (June 12-15 and July 17-21), The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (June 19-22 and July 24-28) and Les Misérables (June 26-29 and July 31-Aug. 4). All shows are at 8 p.m., with additional 2 p.m. matinees June 8, 15, 22 and 29. For full descriptions of the musicals, go to rvcstarlight.com.
