Online Staff Report

June 15, Joelene Chinn, owner and designer of the downtown Rockford-based business Socks-that-Rock, Inc., will be one of 20 specially invited artists partaking in the event called “Vintage Do Over” at Chicago’s Double Door in Wicker Park.

The invite came directly from Danielle Colby from American Pickers the TV show. She owns a store called 4Miles2Memphis in Chicago.

Prices for Chinn’s dolls featured at the event will range from $150-$300. Each doll is handmade and one-of-a-kind right at the Socks-that-Rock, Inc., studio at 104 S. Madison St., Rockford, inside Maximum Performance Fitness.

The dolls featured at the event are designed using reclaimed and found vintage objects and trinkets. This style of doll can range from the Steampunk and Vintage Altered Art-themed, which are highly sought after by many of Chinn’s collectors throughout the USA and abroad.
