Online Staff Report

If you are looking for something to do after you visit Rockford City Market on Fridays, take a short walk up the hill on Market Street to 317 Studio & Gallery. Tom Littrell will be hosting his Artists at Work Project each Friday between 4 and 8 p.m., through the end of the market season, Oct. 11. Admission is free.

Following is the June line-up of artists who will be available to talk with you while you watch them create new pieces at the studio:

June 14 — Barb St. Clair, painter

June 21 — Laura Sjoquist, mixed media

June 28 — Wanie Reeverts, watercolor

June 14, there will also be music. Mosaic Minds, a collaborative group formed by Evan Watts, Ian and Jim Zarembski, will strum their acoustical guitars to melodies of Ed Sheeran, Jack Johnson, Jason Mraz, John Mayer and more. Also, make sure you tour the gallery, where you can view and purchase work done by other local artists

My passion is to give these outstanding artists a continuing venue to represent and market their work,” said Tom Littrell, owner of 317 Studio & Gallery.

Pam Schallhorn, project manager for Shop Downtown, added: “Tom has done some fabulous events in the past, and this event is no exception. I’m happy to work with such an avid supporter of Shop Downtown Rockford, and look forward to these events each Friday.”

317 Studio & Gallery is at 317 Market St., downtown Rockford. Visit for more details.
